Comparative Oncology and Translational Cancer Research
One Health Approach for Cross-Species Innovation
We partner with academic and private institutions to use spontaneous tumor models in dogs and cats—patients already diagnosed with cancer and treated in clinical settings—as part of a comparative medicine approach to evaluate therapeutic response, disease progression, and biomarker discovery. These studies ethically enroll companion animals to test innovative treatment strategies that aim to improve their quality of life while generating translational insights that can be applied to human oncology, enhancing both clinical relevance and regulatory impact.

Next-Gen Strategies for the Treatment of Cancer
Innovative Virotherapy and Immuno-Oncology Solutions
We have high expertise in oncolytic viral vector therapies. We assist in the experimental design, data analysis, and support the development of cancer treatments using replication-competent and replication-deficient oncolytic adenoviruses, design rational combination therapies with combination index calculation to enhance efficacy and reduce toxicity, and evaluate the tumor immune microenvironment. Our approach includes immunotherapy design, use of immunological adjuvants, irreversible electroporation, and digital tools to engage patients and clinicians throughout treatment.

Expert-Led, Cross-Functional R&D Innovation
Multidisciplinary Solutions for Complex Scientific Challenges
At Vitaro Global Strategies, we offer expert support across the full research and development lifecycle—including assay development, data analysis, grant writing, proposal submission, medical device development and testing, and regulatory compliance of R&D areas. Our multidisciplinary expertise spans virotherapy, oncology, wound healing, gene therapy, immunotherapy, diagnostics, pharmacology, comparative medicine, toxicology (with board-certified toxicologists), and pathology. We stay at the forefront of emerging technologies and foster academic-industry collaboration to accelerate innovation from concept to application.

Veterinary Epidemiology and Diagnostic Development
Advancing Animal and Human Health Through Smarter Diagnostics
We bring scientific precision and translational insight to veterinary diagnostics—where animal health meets global health security. Partnered with worldwide veterinary epidemiologists and researchers, we assist in the development of diagnostic tools, histopathology workflows, and toxicological assessments to support disease surveillance, vaccine evaluation, and regulatory compliance in veterinary medicine. Our collaborators also contribute to the creation of epidemiological frameworks to monitor disease evolution and transmission in commercial animal populations. We focus on swine influenza—a zoonotic virus with pandemic potential—and other economically significant viral and bacterial diseases affecting production animals, with a particular emphasis on the swine population. Our goal is to deliver science-based, scalable solutions that improve animal productivity and protect public health.
